How to Make Matte Cabochons

We all love a good sparkle, don’t we?

But just as any other artist may choose a variety of finishes—like high-gloss or satin— you too can make more interesting aesthetic choices for your cabochons and jewelry.

Even non-lapidaries can do this technique: all you need to do is buy some cabochons and a tumbler! You could even use this technique to make your own sea glass (you know, minus the sea and all).
