Native American Turquoise Ring Repair

A Native American turquoise ring repair before I started to work on it. It's missing one of the 30 small turquoise stones in it.

This client sent me a picture of her favorite ring—a multi-stone turquoise Native American ring, but one of the 30 stones recently fell out. She was looking to have the stone replaced, while also checking on the other stones to make sure no other ones would fall out.

When I received her ring in the mail, I was able to inspect her ring and just pressing on the stone from underneath the ring, I was able to easily pop out that stone. We then changed the game plan to remove and reset all of the stones, as well as recut the missing stone.

Once all of the 3mm turquoise stones were removed, I thoroughly cleaned each of the settings before re-setting each stone.

While I was at it, I also redistributed the darker turquoise stones in a more balanced composition, but I left the sterling silver as it was to keep the vintage patina on it.
