14k Gold and Turquoise Inlay Wedding Ring Repair

14k gold turquoise inlay ring repair with broken stones that need to be replaced

Having just celebrated his 50th anniversary with his wife, my client reached out to see if I could fix up his 14k inlaid wedding band.

Out of the seven sections, 3 of the stones were completely missing and the other 4 were either chipped or almost all gone.

My client and his wife selected a beautiful bright Kingman turquoise for the repair.

After removing all of the stones and cleaning the inlay channels, I pre-cut the pieces of turquoise that will be hand-cut to carefully fit into each section of the inlay repair.

Inlay ring repairs are always a little trickier than inlay pendant repairs because I have to carve the underside of the stone to make sure that the stone follows the contour of the ring.

Once all of the pieces are cut and epoxied in, I can cut the stones flush with the surface of the ring before giving it a nice final polish.
