14k Gold and Turquoise Inlay Wedding Ring Repair
Having just celebrated his 50th anniversary with his wife, my client reached out to see if I could fix up his 14k inlaid wedding band.
Out of the seven sections, 3 of the stones were completely missing and the other 4 were either chipped or almost all gone.
My client and his wife selected a beautiful bright Kingman turquoise for the repair.
After removing all of the stones and cleaning the inlay channels, I pre-cut the pieces of turquoise that will be hand-cut to carefully fit into each section of the inlay repair.
Inlay ring repairs are always a little trickier than inlay pendant repairs because I have to carve the underside of the stone to make sure that the stone follows the contour of the ring.
Once all of the pieces are cut and epoxied in, I can cut the stones flush with the surface of the ring before giving it a nice final polish.
